PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Balsite is a two-component epoxy-based putty, specifically formulated for the integration and reconstruction of wooden artifacts of historical-artistic interest. Its good adhesive power, combined with the absence of shrinkage and relative elasticity, makes it the ideal product for bonding fragile objects. In fact, thanks to its special formulation, Balsite has low mechanical strength and can be easily removed using gouges, scalpels, or micromotors.

The moldability of Balsite makes the operation of reconstructing missing parts very easy, also due to its ease of carving once hardened. Its lightness prevents excessive weight on the structures where it is applied.



Why a new type of putty?



CHEMICAL-PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

- Hardener: Balsite K, weight ratio 1:1

- Appearance: pinkish-brown paste

- Workability time: 45-50 min. at 20°C



CAUTION: It is a two-component product, make sure to order not only Balsite W but also its hardener Balsite K (sold separately).
