Gender Equality Policy
On October 26th, 2024, CTS Conservation obtained certification for its integrated management system in compliance with UNI PDR 125:2022.
Included in Mission 5 of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – Inclusion and Cohesion (Goal 5 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development) – this certification addresses Gender Equality, recognized not only as a fundamental human right but also as a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world.
The UNI PDR 125:2022 guideline on gender equality includes the measurement, reporting, and evaluation of gender-related data, with the aim of bridging existing gaps and generating sustainable, long-lasting change.
Our company has therefore adopted specific KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) related to Gender Equality Policies, organized into six areas that represent the various dimensions of an inclusive and gender-equal organization:
1 - Culture and strategy
2 - Governance
3 - HR processes
4 - Opportunities for growth and inclusion of women in the company
5 - Gender pay equity
6 - Protection of parenthood and work-life balance
Gender Equality Certification is a valuable tool for engaging companies in these issues and demonstrates the implementation of concrete measures to reduce gender disparities.
It represents a fundamental milestone—a first step toward real business and social growth, and a tangible commitment to promoting a fair and inclusive workplace.
What personal and professional motivations led you to pursue gender equality certification?
E.D.M. I strongly believe that dialogue, renewal, and “looking to the future”—even in a field like ours, focused on preserving the past—depend today, especially beyond our national borders, on true investment in continuous ethical and cultural development and exchange.
It’s a responsibility that involves the entire company.
What goals do you hope to achieve through this certification process?
E.D.M. This certification aligns closely with my values and personal experience, both professionally and privately.
I believe there’s still much to do in this direction, across various European countries. Gender equality and wage gaps remain significant, and female employment rates are still too low—often due to cultural preconceptions we face daily, almost without noticing.
With this certification, CTS wants to keep up with the times, maintain and improve a working environment where the whole team moves forward together—towards a shared goal, regardless of gender, religion, or origin.
That’s the image I want CTS to project: a positive example of integration, free from any form of discrimination or social exclusion. In our small way, we’re doing our part to improve.
