Opaque hydrogel based on a poly(vinyl alcohol) polymer network. The gel comes in the form of a parallelepiped (approx. 12 cm3). It combines controlled, localised wetting with a light mechanical action and can be used as a kind of ultra-gentle eraser for the removal of surface dirt.
