DBE SOLVENT
DBE is the acronym of Di-Basic Esters, it is not a single solvent, but a family of solvents obtained from the methylation of the acids produced by fruit fermentation, of which they retain a very slight odour. Therefore it is biodegradable and obtained (55%) from renewable sources.
DBE evaporates very slowly, has medium polarity, and is almost insoluble in water, partially in hydrocarbons, soluble in alcohols, ketones and other esters.
From a safety point of view, it is an exceptional solvent, given that it is not irritating and the LD50 is higher than 5000 mg/Kg, and finally it is not flammable, therefore there are no risk symbols on its label.
