Funori-extract in water-alcohol solution ready to use.
The funori is a natural polysaccharide extracted from japanese red algae of the Gloiopeltis species. C.T.S. performs the purification of the funori in powder, extracting the active principle, funoran, and filtering it to obtain a product of high purity, which is proposed at a concentration of 0.5% in water, at neutral pH, with the name of Funoran Solution , which can be used as a consolidant for paper materials, or as a fixative for wall paintings. A small percentage of isopropyl alcohol prevents a microbiologic attack.
