An aliphatic resin of low molecular weight, characterized by high resistance to ageing and optical properties which are comparable to those of natural resins; ideally used as a final varnish for panel and canvas paintings. The amount to be dissolved in solvent is approx. 20-30% by weight, but it can also be reduced in case of spray applications. Regalrez 1094 is soluble in medium and lowpolarity solvents (white spirit, petroleum essential oil, butyl acetate) and in these solvents it remains reversible even after ageing; it is insoluble in water and polar solvents. Regalrez 1094 is used for the formulation of Regal Varnishes Mat and Gloss.
