SILICAL 120+125 = Liquid POURABLE Silicone Rubber

SILICAL 120+125+TIXO = Liquid SPREADABLE Silicone Rubber with a SPATULA or BRUSH

Silical 120 is a liquid silicone rubber suitable for all moulding techniques which require specific processing features (long working time and excellent fluidity) and mechanical features (tensile strength, tear resistance and low shrinkage). Silical 120 is suggested for pouring mouldmaking of all the objects and works of art which the restorer needs to reproduce. With the addition of the new tixotropic additive SILICAL TIXO, casts can also be applied vertically by applying a spatula or brush.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:

- Catalyst: Silical 125, 5% weight ratio
- Tixotropic additive: Silical TIXO from 2 to 4% weight ratio
- Appearance of Silical 120: white viscous liquid
- Appearance of the cured rubber: white paste
- Working time: approx. 90 min. (at 23°C)
- Demoulding time: 24 hours (at 23°C)
- Viscosity of the ready-to-use mix: 25000 cP approx.
- Linear shrinkage (after 5 d at 23°C): 0.5% max (ISO 4823)
- Specific gravity: 1.19 kg/l
- Hardness (after 24 hours at 23°C): 19 Shore A (ASTM D 2240-05)
- Tensile strength: 2,5 N/mm² (ASTM D 412-06a)
- Elongation at break: 350% (ASTM D 412-06a)
- Tear resistance: 18 N/mm (ASTM D 624/00)
