ASEM EXTRACTION HOODS - CP SERIES CLASS 0
All our ASEM® fume extraction hoods are factory-tested for the containment index and certified in compliance with EN 14175 2-3-4-5-6-7 and UNI TS 11710 standards.
USE:
Collective protective device for the user, certified according to EN 14175 - UNI TS 11710 standards.
Extraction of vapors and dust from the work area to ensure that no concentration of chemical substances reaches the operator and the laboratory.
Prevention of the formation of an explosive atmosphere in the work area.
Protection against splashing of chemicals.
Chemical hoods are not suitable for handling biological agents or microorganisms.
Fire reaction class "0".
STRUCTURE:
Entirely constructed from sheet steel.
Built with steel elements in interdependent modules, allowing mechanical interconnection, interchangeability, or replacement of individual components.
Sides, back wall, double extraction, and ceiling made of electro-galvanized steel sheet, cold-pressed and painted with acid-resistant epoxy powders (white RAL 9010), after degreasing treatment, with an initial application of primer and two subsequent applications of thermosetting powders of at least 90 microns, where the enamel undergoes drying and curing in a thermal tunnel at 210°C, fusing with the metal part.
Hexagonal head screws in steel allow for quick assembly of the various components, creating a particularly solid and robust supporting structure.
Adjustable acid-resistant feet at the base allow for leveling the structure.
HOOD BODY:
Extraction point is located on the hood's roof: flange/collar with a diameter of 250 mm.
Control elements are located outside the hood on the triangular side deflectors.
The double rear bottom of the extraction area, necessary to uniformly capture gases and vapors even on the work surface, is achieved by installing a removable panel for sanitization, with the same characteristics as the walls, and with a number of openings distributed for optimal ventilation.
DEFLECTORS:
Throughout the height, free of edges, to direct air from the sides of the hood inward; also preventing "backdrafts" and flow reversals.
Made of electro-galvanized steel sheet 12/10 mm, coated with epoxy paints.
Removable panel for the insertion of new utilities or for maintenance.
Cable pass-throughs with covers.
REAR DOUBLE BOTTOM:
Designed to apply removable trellises and stands and is sized based on the width of the chemical hoods.
Easily removable for cleaning; this operation can be performed by users themselves without the presence of a specialized technician.
This allows for a reduction in maintenance costs of the chemical hood.
SLIDING SASH:
The sash consists of a metal frame in galvanized steel 1 mm thick, phosphated and coated with epoxy powder fixed by passing through a thermal tunnel at 180°C and/or aluminum. Two or three laminated Securit glass panels, thickness 3 + 3 + PVB, in compliance with UNI EN12543-1 and EN 12600. The sash opens and closes at any position thanks to a manual or motorized system. The sash panels can also be opened and closed horizontally so that they can act as a full screen for the entire operator's body, while allowing manipulation inside the hood.
The sash is equipped with a mechanical locking system for vertical opening. Opening is possible up to 300 and 450 mm from the work surface. For maintenance or insertion of bulky tools, this system can be unlocked to allow full opening of the guillotine.
The hood is also equipped with an optical/acoustic alarm device that, in case of voluntary opening by the operator, activates signaling the anomaly.
Lowering the sash, the locking system is reactivated automatically, and the optical/acoustic alarm turns off, in compliance with EN 14175 standard (optional).
The sash frames are equipped with a safety device that immediately blocks its fall in case of breakage of one of the toothed belts from the counterweight. These counterweights are placed behind the back wall, outside the hood, or frontally and supported by AISI 316 stainless steel ropes with a diameter of 3 mm or toothed belts with a steel core, low-friction aluminum pulleys with an anti-slip device that ensures a limited moving force. They are outside the extraction volume and therefore not in contact with the corrosive vapors that may develop during manipulation inside the hood.
Safety device with immediate locking in any position of the sash in case of imbalance or cutting of cables. End-of-travel position with finger guard in case of accidental closure.
In compliance with EN 14175, the manual force that must be exerted to open or close the sash should not exceed 30 N per linear meter. These safety systems are controlled in production and verified during audits by Bureau Veritas.
WORKTOP SUPPORT FRAME:
Made with welded steel tubes by TIG welding, allowing for high load capacity, height adjustability.
The protection treatment is carried out with a pickling and hot phosphatization process to eliminate any residues of slag or grease; then, epoxy powders with white RAL 9010 pigmentation are applied electrostatically.
The enamel undergoes drying and curing in a thermal tunnel at 210°C, where the enamel fuses with the metal part.
Hexagonal head screws in steel allow for quick assembly of the frame to the self-supporting base, creating a particularly solid and robust structure.
HOOD ROOF:
Entirely made of galvanized steel sheet with a thickness of 1.2 - 1.5 and 2 mm, phosphated and painted with epoxy powders fixed by passing through a thermal tunnel at 180°C.
Upon request, it can be made of PVC with the same aeraulic characteristics as the steel roof.
HOOD CEILING:
In the double extraction part, the ceiling is equipped with a large number of ventilation openings, designed to direct the suction vapors uniformly to avoid turbulence.
An opening with an optical polycarbonate panel is made on the roof to accommodate the lighting.
This panel also functions as the preferred escape route in case of explosion and/or pressure increase inside the hood.
On the hood's ceiling is positioned the exhaust collar with a diameter of 250 mm, optionally equipped with a condensation collection system to prevent condensation from falling inside the hood due to heat exchange inside the tubes of different temperatures between the laboratory and the outside.
It is also possible to equip the chemical hood with the SA7000 system, which allows for the extraction of cabinets under the chemical hoods, ensuring the necessary ventilation and air exchange.
